Privacy Policy

PillPilot is a personal medicine reminder and tracking app. This policy explains what information we collect, why, how we keep it safe, and the choices you have. We collect only what the app needs to remind you about your medicines and show your history.

Information we collect

• Account information — the email address you sign up with, used to create and secure your account.
• Profile details — an optional display name and optional emergency contact (name and phone number) that you choose to add.
• Health-related data — the medicines you add and their dosages, schedules, optional inventory counts, and the actions you record (taken, snoozed, or skipped). This is used only to power your reminders and history.
• Device & settings — your time zone (so reminders fire at the right local time) and your reminder preferences. On the web app, if you enable push notifications we store the notification subscription for your device.

We do not collect advertising identifiers, location, contacts, or any data unrelated to running the app.

How we use your information

• To send you reminders when a dose is due.
• To show your dose history, adherence, and inventory within the app.
• To keep your account secure and signed in.

We do not sell your data, share it with third parties for their own purposes, or use it for advertising.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored in our backend hosted on Supabase (Postgres database and authentication). The web app is hosted on Vercel. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and database row-level security ensures each person can only access their own records. These providers process data solely to operate the app on our behalf.

Notifications

The mobile app schedules reminders locally on your device. The web app can send web-push notifications if you enable them. You can turn reminders off at any time in your device or app settings.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us at anildongrenz@gmail.com. We will action deletion requests promptly.

Children

PillPilot is intended for adults managing their own or a family member's medicines. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Medical disclaimer

PillPilot helps you remember and track medicines. It does not provide medical advice. Always follow your prescription label and contact your doctor or pharmacist with questions.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
